A musical improviser both composes and performs their songs in real time. They choose, arrange, and perform notes according to what was played before, what they’re building up to, and of course, which combinations just sound good in the moment.
Practicing Harmonism is akin to musical improvisation. Except instead of composing with musical notes, we compose with our wants. And instead of arranging them according to which combinations sound best, we arrange them according to how they will help fulfill one another best.
